My 33rd birthday is a week away so of course my sentimental side gets a chance to shine with a list of 33 Things I’ve Learned in 33 Years.
Similar to when I wrote about My Greatest Accomplishments in Life….So Far, just a bit longer.
Stay tuned for another list of something along the lines of: If I could only live with 33 items for the rest of my life…
That one will be fun!
A good pair of sheets can make or break a good nights sleep.
A batch of cookies will get you very far in life. Like, farther than you think.
A select number of tv shows can be watched over and over again (Friends, The Office, Gilmore Girls…). Watching them is like a hard reset on the nervous system.
Becoming a morning shower person changed the whole flow of my day.
Draw your own conclusions. Read and learn as much as you want about a topic, then see how it sits with you. Trust your intuition.
Noise cancelling headphones.
Buy nice or buy twice. It’s pretty much always worth it.
There is no wrong path in life.
If it’s meant for you, it will find its way to you.
Manifestation is real, and it happens when you let go of all attachment to what you’re trying to manifest.
Nothing makes you question and reevaluate what is most important in life like a big health scare. Don’t let it come to that.
A cold shower, a dip in the ocean, or a swim in a lake might be one of the highest dopamine hits possible
How you feed your body is reflected in how your body feels.
Don’t take things so seriously
Ask for help. People want to offer their expertise, give them the opportunity.
Your ideas are not dumb.
There is space for you here, there, and everywhere. Don’t be afraid to take it.
There is no greater feeling that completing a major home renovation. It’s an exhale that leaves you feeling extra empty. Like a weight lifted off your shoulders, and like you now have a void that needs to be filled.
You can be kind and courageous at the same exact time.
Create more than you consume.
It’s YOUR social media profile and platform. You make the rules.
You don’t have to have everything figured out by 25, 30, or even 40.
You’re not stuck. You’re allowed to change your mind over and over again.
Habits don’t need to be forever. Routines change just like the seasons. In fact, preferably with the seasons!
Moving away from home is the best, more heart wrenching thing you can do.
Burn out does not get you where you want to go.
Just start. Especially if your scared.
You’re not a bad writer. You just have a lot of thoughts that need to be sorted and categorized.
Sharing your thoughts and feelings on the internet is vulnerable. Keep doing it, even when it feels like no one is paying attention..
Rest is productive.
DRINK MORE WATER!
Make the choices your future self would be proud of.
The feeling of being uncomfortable is the sweet spot. Where the magic happens.
What’s missing from this list? What did I forget??
